Y08SV-272B Two Electrode Gas Discharge Tube - Surge Arrester (Pkg of 4)

Features gas-filled, rugged ceramic metal construction. The Y08SV-272B has a 2700VDC (nominal) breakdown spec and can handle a peak pulse current of 10kA. Size is 8.01mm diameter x 8.8mm length with leads trimmed for PC Board insertion. Datasheet here.

Designed for highly reliable surge protection in a small size. Gas Discharge Tubes (GDT) function as a switch which dissipates a minimum amount of energy thus handling currents that far surpass other types of transient voltage protection.
