Talon Electronics - Shipping and  Ordering Information


Talon Electronics is a web-based electronics retailer located in the United States.   We do not have a brick and mortar storefront. Our business hours are M-F 9:30AM-5:30PM EST/EDT and our offices are closed on all Federal holidays.  Our website is open 24/7 for orders.


United States (including U.S. protectorates and territories)

If you are not in one of the above countries or territories, DO NOT ORDER.
Additionally, WE DO NOT ship to US-based freight forwarders or re-shippers for transport to ANY country. 

Using Our Online Ordering System

Registering with our website will allow you to check the status of an order at any time.  Using Guest checkout, you will NOT be able to view your order information.  Even if paying with PayPal Express, only registered users will receive shipping updates.

We accept orders only via our website. Our website uses "shopping cart technology" to facilitate online ordering.  When you start shopping with us, our server automatically assigns you a unique "shopping cart" where you can store products you are interested in purchasing.  There is no limit to the amount of products you can have in your cart, and you can add, remove or change the products in your cart at any time before you check out. 

To add products to your cart, and you can click "Add To Cart" when viewing a product you want to purchase.

When you are ready to check out, click the "Checkout" button .   If this is your first time ordering from us, you will need to fill out your shipping and billing addresses, and a way to contact you if we have any questions.  Hit "continue" when done.

On the following page choose a payment method. In the "messages" box, write any comments you want our order specialists to know. These comments will be reviewed before the order is processed. Then click "continue."

When you hit "continue" your order will be submitted, and you will see a thank you confirmation.  You will also receive a confirmation by e-mail, assuming you entered your e-mail address properly in the address page.  If you did not receive the email, check your spam folder.  Hotmail and Yahoo! email servers often flag our emails as spam.

Minimum Order

We have a $4 minimum order.


We reserve the right to limit quantities.  Unless otherwise noted, prices are for one (1) item/each.

Payment Methods

We accept major credit cards. 

We never see your private credit card information.  Your information is passed via secure server to our card processor.  All we see is the approval information.

We also accept payment using PayPal. 

We chose this method for numerous reasons:

1. Customers do not have to have a PayPal account.

2. We never see your private credit card information.

3. Many customers are familiar with our eBay offerings and already use PayPal for purchases.

4.  Some customers prefer one payment system and the security it brings.

Note:  PayPal orders to unconfirmed US addresses will not be processed, nor will credit card orders where an incorrect Zip code is provided. Such orders will be refunded - you will be directed to reorder with the correct information - fraud filters disable any ability to change address data from what is provided. 

If you receive Error 10486 "This transaction couldn't be completed.", please ensure your billing address is correct.  This is the #1 reason transactions are declined. A misspelled word, incomplete address, transposed number, or old address will all cause this error.  PCI and payment security require the billing address to be included with the payment transmittal.  This is for YOUR protection - it prevents unauthorized use of your credit and debit cards. Using a desktop browser is advised if you continue to receive this error.  Mobile keyboards exacerbate errors.

PayPal Payments

PayPal changes effective May 7, 2019 require us to increase fraud protections.
This unfortunately may trigger rejection of legitimate payments.  Please understand we hold no control over PayPal policy.  There are steps to prevent problems:

  • always use a Postal, CONFIRMED address. If this is Postally incorrect and fails USPS Address Verification, we are unable to ship.
  • tie your PayPal to a bank or credit card account.
  • enable Two Factor Authentication

These actions increase buyer security and enable PayPal protections for you, the buyer, as well.

Open Accounts

We do not offer open accounts or Net-30 terms.

Need to change something about your order?

Once placed, we are unable to add items to an order.  As we never capture your financial data, we are unable to add any additional items to an order.  For this reason, if you wish to add items, you must place another order for the additional items.  Orders within 4 hours of the original order usually ship together, with the excess S&H charges refunded. 
Please note that combining separate orders can often cause the combined  orders to exceed the weight limitations of the selected shipping method, necessitating either a.) higher charges, b.) slower shipping methods, or c.) separate shipping of the two orders (usually the best outcome).

Checking On the Status of Your Order

If you are ordering within the continental United States, you can expect your order within 8 to 10 business days. Shipping information is always available by logging in and viewing your order summary page. Status and Tracking information is posted when your order ships. 

You can also contact us via the email provided with your order confirmation.

Addressing errors are the primary cause of delayed shipments. 

Orders received with incorrect addressing will not be shipped.  Unsure of your Postal Address?  Check with your postal authority BEFORE ordereing.  US customers, validate the address with the USPS ZIP Code Locator - the easiest means to validate a US address.

We will not ship orders with undeliverable or incorrect addressing - no exceptions.

Shipping and Handling Charges

Shipping and Handling charges are a sum total that cover the costs of processing (labor) and packaging (boxing) your order, in addition to any postage amount.   As the weight (postage) or number of items (labor, cube dimension) of an order increases, shipping and handling charges increase accordingly.

Standard Shipping

We ship via the United States Postal Service (USPS) for all orders.  We have found this to be most convenient for all domestic and international customers.  We use crush-proof corrugated mailers for all orders - no flimsy bags or padded envelopes.

Shipping Upgrades

Details on available shipping options are supplied at checkout.

Our shipping cut-off time is 3:00 PM EST/EDT.  All orders received after that time are shipped the next business day.

Express Mail orders received after 3:00 PM EST/EDT are shipped the next business day, Mon-Fri.  Please note that Express Mail is not a guaranteed overnight service, but is the fastest means of shipping available.

FREE Shipping is not without exception.  We reserve the right to change threshold amounts on short notice.  Carrier limitations on size, weight and contents apply.  Additional amounts are the responsibility of the purchaser.  We will contact you for any additional shipping charge.
Please note that some heavier items will not qualify for free shipping, and we will contact you about additional shipping charges.

We do not offer a "will call" or local pickup service.

International (Non-US) Orders

Shipping options for international orders are supplied at checkout, along with actual costs.   Shipping fee increases are beyond our control - please be aware that the USPS increased prices in 2023, and our charges adjusted accordingly. 

Note: The customer assumes responsibility for customs charges and other applicable fees or taxes as required.   Delays in customs are beyond our control - please understand this before ordering.  We do not accept orders placed with a re-shipper billing and/or shipping address.  We ship direct - no reship addresses accepted

MOST INTERNATIONAL ORDERS ARE SHIPPED VIA REGISTERED MAIL.  If your country does not offer this service, we will contact you to arrange other shipping methods.  Registered mail will require a signature for delivery, often requiring pick up of your package at the post office.  International orders typically experience customs delays beyond our control. We will not ship international orders to a US-based re-shipper. 

Merchandise is shipped only to the following countries:

• United States (including U.S. protectorates) 

US Customs and Trade Controls - we follow all current trade control laws and rulings.
Please do not email or ask us to ship to a country not listed above.  These requests are ignored.

Sales Tax on Internet Orders

We are required by law to collect sales tax on all orders being shipped to locations within Virginia. Sales tax is calculated on the merchandise and handling charge total. Tax Exempt Customers may read the section below for information on declaring the exemption. 

Virginia Customers - we charge the 6 percent sales tax rate effective July 1, 2013 on all Virginia sales, pursuant to the Virginia Department of Taxation regulations under HB 2313, and Va. Code § 58.1-605; Guidelines Pages 5-7 regarding source and storefront location.  PLEASE CREATE AN ACCOUNT SO THAT WE MAY DENOTE TAX EXEMPT STATUS.

We do not presently collect sales tax on orders shipped to other states, as we have no economic "nexus" (sales do not meet state-set economic triggers) or physical  presence in any other state. We may in the future collect (once economic thresholds are neared) collect sales tax for states requiring such.  However, you may be responsible for paying a sales/use tax to your state and/or local taxing authority on orders shipped to you in your state.

Tax Exempt Customers

Tax exempt customers may place their orders with us by Internet. However, Internet orders will show tax at the time the order is placed. We will not collect sales tax if, prior to when we process the Internet order internally, we receive a SIGNED Virginia Tax Exempt Certificate (NOT A COPY OF A LICENSE) in which you attest to the fact that you are a tax exempt organization and you are not required to pay tax on the items purchased. Please make sure you include your tax exempt customer number on the Tax Exemption Certificate. You can send us the Tax Exempt Certificate by mail to Talon Electronics LLC, PO Box 14005 Norfolk, VA 23518. If you need a Virginia Tax Exempt Certificate form, please e-mail us or visit the Virginia Department of Taxation Website.

We will collect Virginia sales tax on all orders shipped to Virginia if we do not receive a SIGNED Tax Exemption Certificate before we process the order.

Out of Stock or Discontinued Items

Out of Stock items are not available for ordering.  If you wish to be notified when an out of stock item becomes available again, use the Contact Us form and we will add you to our want/wish lists.  If an item you want has been discontinued, we will notify you and let you know if there are any recommended replacement items.


Cookies are a term used for small text files a web site sends to a visitor's computer to aid in identifying and tracking that individual through the site.  We currently use cookies in our website to keep track of a shopper's progress through our commerce server.  Each cookie is a very small number that tells our server which shopper you are, what products you currently have in your cart, what pages you are on, what products you are viewing, etc. We do not collect any information from cookies - it is purely used to avoid any crossed-orders and to provide you with better service.

If you do not accept cookies, some features of this site will be limited. We strongly recommend that you accept cookies while on our site. It also helps to turn the "cookie warning" off in your browser while you are on our site. You can always turn it back on when you are finished shopping.


Inventory stock status is kept updated throughout the day. Occasionally an item showing in stock may go out of stock by the time your order is placed.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Images of items on this website are representative of items in-stock at the time.  PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS AND AVAILABILITY ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE. We reserve the right to substitute same-part numbered devices where the pictured item is out of stock.   This is especially true of semiconductor devices and capacitors - items from different manufacturers vary in physical characteristics including color, marking, lead bend, and lead finish, but same-numbered devices will be fully equivalent electrically.  If you desire a specific physical characteristic or manufacturer, please contact us in advance of ordering.



Errors / Intended Use / Terms

Talon Electronics represents that all items presented are as described.  Due to changes by manufacturers, we are unable to guarantee compliance to specific manufacturer data, specifications, or dimensions.  Additionally, as we obtain stock from multiple sources, suppliers and distributors, we are unable to offer or provide a Certificate of Conformity for any item listed on this website. 

We are not responsible for gross typographical errors.  If any description is vague, unclear, or insufficient, please contact us before ordering.

There are no express warranties which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. TALON ELECTRONICS LLC DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. Since Talon Electronics LLC cannot control the manner of use of products after their sale, Talon Electronics LLC will not be responsible for any consequential or indirect damages. No warranties will apply if the products have been installed or in any way altered or modified after delivery by Talon Electronics LLC.



All items are packaged to prevent damage while in shipping.  Our quality control ensures your merchandise will arrive intact and undamaged.  We cannot be responsible for damage caused by irresponsible actions.  Always use care when opening your package to avoid damage to contents and injury to yourself.  We utilize 200 lb test recycleable corrugated mailers and boxes. 

All items are processed in accordance with Mil-Standard ESDS handling and packaging procedures.  All ESDS items are labeled appropriately.  Please ensure you heed and follow ESDS handling procedures when opening/inspecting items. 


Pictorial and typographical errors are subject to correction when orders are placed. Talon Electronics reserves the right to limit quantities.


Please contact us within 7 days after you receive your components if you are not satisfied with your purchase. We'll issue a refund for the merchandise once all the items are returned to us. A 15% restock fee will be assessed on all items returned - no exceptions.  Exchanges are offered only for defective merchandise.  Refused parcels will be refunded, less postage. We do not refund postage or return postage.

Vintage TV parts are non-refundable, non-returnable. 

Special note for Audio Power Amplifier Transistors, Driver Transistors, Power Amplifier Integrated Circuits and Hybrid Amplifier Modules:

If these devices are used for replacement purposes: 

Determine and cure the cause of previous failure.  Check the following:

A) Are all bias voltages present?
B) Are all bias resistors the correct value (i.e. not open or increased in value)?
C) Are all protection circuits functioning properly?
D) Are all power supply voltages present - both positive and negative supply rails?
E) Check all coupling capacitors and directly-coupled semiconductors (driver transistors and ICs) for proper operation.
F) Are all speaker and/or dummy load connections the proper ohm rating and not shorted/too low of impedance?


As we have no control over circuit conditions, heat sinking, and proper installation and use, these devices are not warranted once installed.
